Ameritas offers a number of dental plans, so you should take time to familiarize yourself with the details of your policy in order to learn how it works. In the meantime, here is an overview of the coverage that you might enjoy:

• Preventive care, including cleanings, exams, and X-rays, is up to 100% covered.
• Basic services, encompassing fillings and simple extractions, are up to 80 – 90% covered. (Some plans start at 50% coverage for basic services, but the coverage rate increases after you own the plan for a full year.)
• Major services, such as crowns, root canal therapy, and dentures, are up to 50% covered. (Coverages rates can start out as low as 10% depending on your plan, but they may increase over time.)

One nice thing about Ameritas PPO plans is that they do not come with waiting periods for any services, so you can start using your coverage immediately! Your annual maximum (the limit that Ameritas places on your yearly benefits) may also increase over time.
